“Someday is a disease that will take your dreams to the grave with you. Pro and con lists are just as bad. If it’s important to you and you want to do it “eventually,” just do it and correct course along the way.”
Four Hour Workweek is a book that can be reread multiple times. This book is full of knowledge and first-hand experience from Tim Ferriss. First-hand experience is something that should be taken into deep consideration when reading this book. If you are unsure of who Tim Ferriss is I do recommend visiting his website. He has tons of free content. Another thing to keep in mind is Tim wrote the book back in 2007 before the world was self aware work from home was possible.
Key Notes:
“What we fear doing most is usually what we most need to do. As I have heard said, a person’s success in life can usually be measured by the number of uncomfortable conversations he or she is willing to have. Resolve to do one thing every day that you fear.”
Develop a thick skin and be able to say yes to challenges as well as your fears. This small habit will push you to improve yourself little by little, and the results will compound.
One of my main critical takeaways from the 4 Hour Workweek is being more efficient with your time. Time is something we waste a lot, and Tim goes over some great tips on saving time.
Something he did mention that I didn’t agree entirely with Tim Ferriss was outsourcing most of your work with virtual assistants. At a point, you will want to do this, but I would be cautious with outsourcing too fast. I advise you to be careful with outsourcing at the begging because you want at least some knowledge of the aspect of the business when starting. Once you get the hang of the area you want might be looking into automating.
